Here at GXO Logistics we are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to support our site in Thatcham, to ensure effective running of all warehouse operations, whilst building a strong partnership with our customers and stakeholders. Joining our site in Thatcham you will be a front-runner in enhancing employee engagement and their development whilst driving forward a culture of continuous improvement. This is a full-time, permanent position predominantly working Monday – Friday, however flexibility may be required during peak.
Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Review and evaluate the warehouse plans daily making recommendations for changes as appropriate to ensure all KPI’s are achieved and improved upon.
- Monitor financial performance, identify cost saving initiatives and implement corrective actions where appropriate to maximise the efficiency of the warehouse function.
- Review and monitor internal processes to ensure optimum efficiencies.
- Promote effective and harmonious employee relations through formal and informal communication channels, engaging trade union reps where appropriate.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Understanding & demonstrable experience of managing an E-fulfilment Operation.
- Ability to establish and manage continuous improvement initiatives, whilst driving efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to interact and engage staff at all levels, with the ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level.
- Previous senior leadership within a fast paced warehouse logistics environment.
