Head Chef required at Blackwell Grange, Shipston on Stour, CV36 4JX. Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + hourly overtime and company bonus scheme. Start date: ASAP.
Artemis are looking for a passionate Head Chef for Blackwell Grange to work alongside our team, leading from the front in what is a hands-on position, cooking the finest food using fresh ingredients. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, have a passion for good food and service, be calm under pressure, and be able to work in a small team. Experience in weddings and conferences, 100+ covers, fine dining, together with a strong background in food-led establishments is essential.
Blackwell Grange is located in the Cotswolds surrounded by fantastic countryside. We provide exceptional food to our clientele who expect nothing but the highest levels of service and everlasting memories.
Requirements:
- 2 years' experience in a similar position used to providing for 100+ covers using fresh ingredients
- A proven track record, with good references to support your CV
- An understanding of HACCP from ordering, delivery checks, temperature recording and general management duties required for such a position
- Good communication skills together with having the ability to work with emails, files and spreadsheets (laptop will be provided)
- Own transport is essential due to the location
- Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the UK
Responsibilities:
- Day to day management of your venue kitchen, providing the finest fresh ingredients to clients
- The ability to work with our allergens policy and kitchen management package
- The ability to be hands-on with all aspects of running a busy kitchen in order to maintain the high standards of cleanliness
- Managing your kitchen team, rota planning and holidays
- Daily ordering from suppliers, monthly stock takes
- Reporting regularly to the Group Executive Head Chef, day to day report to the General Manager
- Managing our Checkit food recording through the portal (full training given)
