Administrative Support Assistant
Salary: £24,200 – £24,584 per annum

Responsibilities
- Completing a range of administrative tasks that support the day‑to‑day work of the team.
- Supporting children, families, and partner agencies to access the service effectively.
- Working closely with Case Progression Officers on private law tasks, liaising with the Court, and keeping case trackers and the children’s information system (LCS) up to date.
- Preparing documents in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including reports, meeting minutes, and presentations.
- Collating and presenting service data and assisting with project work and information gathering.
- Handling incoming enquiries, organising meetings, and maintaining excellent customer care standards.
- Supporting the team’s work with Special Guardianship (SGO) and private law families, ensuring accurate and timely administrative input to achieve positive outcomes.
About You
- Has experience in administration, ideally within children’s social care or a similar environment.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, and general office systems.
- Can produce accurate documents, handle sensitive information confidentially, and prioritise your workload effectively.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with families, social workers, partners, and external agencies.
- Can work well as part of a team and adapt to the fast‑paced, sometimes emotionally demanding nature of the work.
- Is committed to developing your skills and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Qualifications
- Essential: NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject (or equivalent).
- Desirable: ECDL or an equivalent IT‑related qualification.
