Syntech Recruitment are looking for a skilled CNC Turner (programmer) to join their client in Welwyn, Hertfordshire. Any talented CNC Turners looking to work on Fanuc controlled machines producing parts for various industries should apply right away.
CNC Turner responsibilities:
- Programming, setting, and operating Doosan CNC lathes (Fanuc control)
- Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Producing precision components to fine tolerances
- Performing in-process inspections using standard measuring equipment
- Adjusting offsets and making minor edits to programmes as needed
- Working to lean manufacturing principles and maintaining high levels of efficiency
- Supporting continuous improvement and machine maintenance activities
CNC Turner requirements:
- Extensive CNC Turning Experience: Demonstrated background in precision engineering environments, working on high-spec, tight-tolerance components.
- Fanuc Programming Expertise: Confident programming and setting CNC lathes using Fanuc controls; able to modify or create programs from scratch.
- Doosan Machine Familiarity: Previous hands-on experience with Doosan lathes is highly desirable, though not essential for the right candidate.
- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Excellent ability to read, understand, and work from detailed engineering drawings and schematics.
- Tolerance & Throughput: Comfortable producing complex components to tight tolerances in a deadline-driven, fast-paced setting.
