GP Locum (Maternity Cover) – Concord Medical Centre

Job summary

The practice is looking for a maternity locum GP from March 2025. The position will be 6+ sessions per week, for a contract term of 12 months with the possibility of extension.

Main duties of the job

1. Undertaking 15-minute F2F appointments with patients for routine and urgent problems.
2. Acting as Duty Doctor on occasion to assist with triage and ad hoc appointments with urgent patients.
3. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards including the recording of appropriate information for QOF.
4. Occasional home visits.
5. Use of EMIS Web and Anima Triage.

We are a large, forward-thinking practice with a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The practice is a new, bespoke building, with hub services.

Additional Duties

• In accordance with the practice schedule, you will make yourself available to undertake a variety of duties including face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, triage, checking and signing prescriptions, and dealing with queries in a timely fashion.
• Contributing to QOF requirements and recording data appropriately.
• Assisting our Care Coordinators where required.
• Developing care plans for health-related illnesses.
• Working across teams to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
• Screening patients for health education.
