We are currently recruiting for a Female Care / Support worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Lichfield area. The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client with Autism, to lead an individual and independent lifestyle in their own home and the community. Our client has a love of animals, baking and crafting. The right person will have similar interests and will enjoy supporting the client whilst they are caring for their pets (kitten and guinea pig). They will also be able to provide companionship and work with the client at their own pace and understanding when the client needs to rest.
Hours: This will be a casual role to provide ad hoc cover when required.
Please note you must be comfortable with animals, as there is a cat in the family home and guinea pigs. A car driver is preferable but not essential. Autism and personal care experience is essential.

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.
Who we are looking for:
- You must be self-motivated, well organised, chatty, reliable and an excellent team player.
- As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:
- An understanding of autism (essential).
- Complex Care, particularly Stoma Care. (desirable)
- Supporting with personal care. (Essential).
- Supporting clients with their hobbies and interests (baking, animals, crafting etc) and accompanying them whilst out in the community.
- Household tasks /support with additional relevant tasks (picking up medication etc) and prepare activities whilst the client rests.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
