We are seeking a caring and motivated Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a friendly early years team. You will support the daily running of the nursery, helping to create a warm, stimulating, and safe environment for children aged 0–5. This role involves working closely with children, staff, and families to promote positive learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Starting September 2025.
Duties as a Nursery Teaching Assistant:
- Support the implementation of planned activities to encourage children's learning and development
- Assist with care routines including mealtimes, toileting, and hygiene
- Observe and record children's progress in line with EYFS requirements
- Promote positive behaviour and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with parents and carers
Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:
- Level 2 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (Level 3 desirable)
- Experience working in an early years setting is preferred
- A warm, patient, and nurturing attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
