MCS Group is proud to partner with the Northern Ireland Assembly in their search for a Web Content Manager . The role: Project management and delivery: Lead the development of a user-centred Assembly website, collaborating with colleagues across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders and users. Team management: Manage a team of two web publishers, including staff development, planning, organising, prioritising, allocating, monitoring, and evaluating team work. Content management: Oversee the Assembly website\’s content management system, including content publication, template maintenance, workflow paths, and user access. Micro-sites and intranet: Manage other Assembly micro-sites and the intranet content publishing, including design, maintenance, security, workflows, and user access. Content audits: Conduct audits to eliminate outdated, redundant, or duplicate content across all websites. Analytics and improvements: Analyze data and trends to identify and implement improvements, ensuring sites are responsive to user needs and deliver measurable outcomes. Data exploitation: Exploit data within the Assembly\’s Assembly Information Management System (AIMS). SEO strategies: Develop SEO strategies to optimize keywords for better user access. Legal and regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to accessibility regulations, conducting regular tests and resolving issues. Content planning and collaboration: Work with the Communications Office and Assembly Commission to ensure effective content delivery. Time management: Work effectively in sensitive situations and meet deadlines. Training and advice: Provide web publishing advice and training to colleagues. IT collaboration: Collaborate with the Assembly\’s IS Office to maintain website services. Policies and records: Comply with staff policies and manage information according to policies and statutory requirements. Additional duties: Perform other duties as reasonably required. The Person: Hold a Bachelor\’s Degree in any subject with significant web design/digital media components or in Interactive Media, Computing, or Information Technology, with at least 2 years\’ experience in key areas. Experience in leading and managing web teams. Experience managing enterprise-level content management systems like Episerver and Umbraco, and WordPress. Knowledge of accessibility tools and troubleshooting. Proficiency in HTML, Markdown, CSS, JavaScript, and creating complex page layouts. Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and data analysis. Proficiency with Adobe products like Dreamweaver and Photoshop. Experience in project management related to website development, including stakeholder engagement and user research. Alternatively, at least 4 years\’ experience in the areas outlined above.
