Are you an experienced Automotive Logistics, Warehouse and Parts Management Technician interested in a new opportunity to grow your career and join an expanding new vehicle test and development team? ASL Technical are working closely with a leading vehicle manufacturer as they look to expand their Test and Development team working within a parts receipt and storage facility supporting vehicle and component testing. This is a 12 month contract opportunity, paid weekly on a PAYE basis. There is a very real chance the contract will be extended for a further 12 months at the end of the current assignment.

Main Purpose of Material Handling Support Technician

  • Knowledge of and be able to recognise car parts and assemblies.
  • Inspect vehicle parts to ensure they adhere to the technical drawings.
  • Understanding of how to use handheld measuring tool (verniers, vernier calipers, feeler gauges etc.) accurately.
  • Be able to accurately describe/report parts that have failed inspection to departments outside of the UK.
  • Receipt of Goods In & Out, to include unloading of test parts in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with Customer groups to advise of test parts arrival.
  • Pick test parts for use by test groups.

Material Handling Support Technician Requirements

  • It is assumed that you will have a background in the Automotive industry and have good knowledge of automotive parts and inspection measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse protocols will be useful, but can be trained.
  • College or University graduates with a solid background in working on modern, classic or race cars may be considered, please get in touch to discuss.
