Join to apply for the Driver Manager role at GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway). GTR is seeking a Driver Manager based at our Horsham Thameslink Driver Depot. Are you an energetic, passionate, and experienced leader capable of motivating a team of drivers in a busy depot environment? This role involves leading and managing a designated group of drivers to ensure high performance aligned with GTR's standards in safety, performance, and customer service.
You will be a visible, people-focused manager responsible for driving employee engagement and managing performance reviews, briefings, welfare, disciplinary actions, grievances, and addressing poor performance. You will also be tasked with implementing customer service standards to enhance the professional culture of drivers across GTR, developing a first-class customer service environment, and improving the onboard experience to increase customer satisfaction and repeat business. The role includes driving team performance through engagement and managing attendance, grievances, and disciplinary procedures fairly and effectively.
