Role Lecturer – Engineering Hours 35 Hours per week Salary £33,351.00 – £47,397.00 FTE Employer Pension Contribution 28.68% (£9,565.06 – £13,593.45 FTE) Location Stockport (although requirements across the Group may require cover at other sites) The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an Engineer Lecturer to join the engineering team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking the potential and fostering the success of our students. The engineering department at Trafford & Stockport College Group delivers a wide variety of knowledge and skills to full-time learners, adults, and apprentices. We have excellent facilities to deliver qualifications from level 2 to 5. The Role You will be joining a strong engineering team at Trafford & Stockport College Group. The role involves delivering level 2 PEO, Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and the Engineering T Level. Strong candidates will have substantial engineering experience and teaching experience in an FE setting. Applications from any engineering/STEM discipline are welcome. Industrial experience is preferred but not essential. You will have the opportunity to showcase your specialism and contribute to curriculum delivery, leveraging your industrial experience effectively. Desirable Skills and Qualifications Experience in teaching STEM subjects Assessor/IQA qualification Knowledge in electrical, electronic, mechatronic systems Skills in design, CAD, CNC, additive manufacturing Practical mechanical workshop skills Knowledge in mechanical, fabrication, or maintenance fields Experience in delivering level 2 & 3 engineering in a post-16 setting is desirable. This role suits established teachers, graduate engineers, or industry engineers transitioning to teaching. A teaching qualification is not essential but will be pursued within the first two years.
