Multi Skilled Engineer – Aerospace Shildon UK Full time | Permanent About The Role To complete reactive and planned maintenance on all plant, equipment, and buildings to ensure minimal impact on daily production, maximizing output to serve our aerospace customers. Responsible for reporting safety hazards immediately and maintaining a safe working environment. Main Responsibilities Carry out preventive maintenance plans across all site areas, rectifying issues found. Diagnose breakdown causes and repair efficiently to minimize downtime. Perform equipment installations, calibrations, and provide technical support. Suggest modifications and improvements to equipment, plant, and processes. Maintain effective 5S practices and housekeeping in workshop and plant areas. Participate in business process improvements and monitor equipment performance trends. Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests to reduce downtime. Manage stock levels for spares and liaise with support to ensure proper stocking. Assist with electrical and mechanical works, planning daily tasks to support business needs. Support the development of safe work systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Conduct site installations and commissioning of electrical systems. Inspect and test electrical installations to industry standards. Investigate equipment failures to diagnose and prevent future issues. Recommend design modifications to prevent malfunctions. Collaborate with engineers and personnel to resolve machine problems. Accurately record all maintenance tasks in the CMMS. Perform all works professionally, adhering to manufacturer instructions and industry best practices. Competencies Minimum Level 3 in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work at heights and to deadlines.
