An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a specialist team focused on the delivery of bespoke and low-volume automotive products. This role involves inspecting parts, assemblies, and complete vehicles to ensure exceptional standards of fit, finish, and functionality are met across a range of workshop and test environments.
Role Overview:
You'll be responsible for end-to-end quality inspections – from incoming components to final vehicle sign-off – supporting operational targets and ensuring all products meet internal specifications and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and approve products for quality, finish, and functionality, including road testing where required.
- Conduct incoming part inspections and in-process checks, including integration with base vehicle models.
- Oversee rectification work and ensure completed repairs meet required standards.
- Accurately record quality issues, provide clear problem statements, and log defects in the internal reporting system.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
- Contribute to health and safety practices, risk assessments, and workplace standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in Paint Inspection is essential.
- Experience in a production, manufacturing, or bespoke build environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with quality processes, inspection tools, and reporting systems.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of technical drawings, trim, and assembly processes.
- Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office tools.
- Full, clean UK driving licence (product driving licence desirable or willingness to obtain).
