Job Description

A leading local authority is seeking a Registered Class 3 Building Inspector to manage complex and high-risk projects, ensuring compliance with the Building Regulations and Building Safety Act 2022.Key Responsibilities:

Assess and inspect high-risk and complex developments, including 'in-scope' buildings
Enforce compliance, including responding to dangerous structures (on-call rota)
Liaise with the Building Safety Regulator and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
Provide expert advice and mentor junior staff
Maintain competence and registration in line with BICoF requirements

About You:

Class 3 Registered Building Inspector with relevant chartered membership (e.g. CABE, RICS, CIOB)
Strong technical expertise and experience with enforcement and high-risk schemes
Confident working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
