What we’re looking for Due to the growth of the business, GP Surveyors is seeking a Valuation Surveyor, with at least two years industry experience and an RICS Accredited Property Degree (Not Building Surveying) to join our vibrant team, on a full-time permanent basis. We’re after a self-starter, who is keen to learn on the job and can organise and prioritise their own workload. Lives within a 90minute drive of Sheffield ( Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham) Nice to haves: Property inspection and measuring experience. The Role This role is ideal for someone who has graduated from an RICS accredited property degree (Not Building Surveying) and wants to progress toward becoming Chartered. One of our Senior Surveyors will deliver your initial training,and the whole team will help you progress to take your APC. Day-to-day tasks and responsibilities will involve visiting GP surgeries to carry out property inspections, including measuring buildings and drawing floorplans. You will undertake rent reviews, including negotiations and produce lease heads of terms and market valuations. There is an element of travel involved and the occasional overnight stay as we carry out property inspections across the UK. Generous car mileage is provided, we just ask that you hold a clean driving licence. You’ll report directly to one of the Directors and work closely with the surveying team and other internal functions including sales and marketing. Even though you’ll have your own workload to manage, you’ll be working collaboratively as part of a wider team. You’ll need to be a confident communicator who’s equally as comfortable speaking with colleagues as you are with clients and third-party professionals. Key Responsibilities: Property inspection including measuring buildings and drawing floor plans Undertaking rent reviews (Incl. negotiations), valuations and lease consultations Liaising with clients and third parties e.g. other surveyors, valuers, solicitors Managing a case load efficiently to meet billing targets.
