We are looking for a highly organised and detail-orientated Senior Research Administrator to join our team in supporting the Human Challenge Facility, Liverpool Vaccine Group, the Centre for TB Research and the RESPOST study. This is a key role, ensuring the smooth coordination of day-to-day administration and financial activities that underpin impactful, world-leading research.
This is a varied role where you will provide logistical and administrative support to research teams, coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders, and monitor and share key research activities, deliverables, and milestones, including grants, publications, partnerships, impact case studies, and knowledge exchange.
This role has responsibility for leading a small administrative team, overseeing workloads and performance to help deliver efficient support across the research portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Finance processes: Reconciling and monitoring of research budgets in collaboration with LSTM Finance Team, processing and coding expense claims, raising purchase orders, and maintaining accurate records for compliance and reporting. Providing advice on appropriate spending under LSTM and grant policies.
- Admin and coordination: Provide administration and logistical support to research teams, including travel bookings, team events, diary coordination, and minute taking. Tracking HR, contracts and finance activities. Act as point of contact for queries and internal communications, ensuring clear, timely and respectful information sharing.
- Supporting research: Track and disseminate research outputs, deliverables and milestones including grants (applications, awards and opportunities), publications and research uptake/knowledge exchange, impact case studies, new and ongoing partnerships and collaborations, engagement activities, conferences and events. Preparing documents such as leaflets, posters and publicity material with team members, and add publications to online archives. Support research filing - chasing GCP certificates and CVs, printing documents and ensuring secure storage.
