The role is based in West Edinburgh and offers hybrid working, a competitive salary (depending on experience), plus a discretionary annual bonus and benefits (more details below). Company Profile Our client is a commercially focused and forward-thinking organisation undergoing significant transformation. Backed by global investment and operating in a regulated and asset-intensive environment, they are entering a key phase of strategic development. The finance function is instrumental in driving performance and decision-making, making this a prime opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join at a time of growth and evolution. Position Profile This newly created role will lead a variety of FP&A activities including internal reporting, strategic planning, scenario modelling, and investment appraisal. Working closely with the Head of FP&A and a wider team of Finance Business Partners, the successful candidate will be accountable for delivering high-quality financial insight and reporting across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead on the preparation of internal board reporting packs, delivering consolidated business performance insights. Manage all financial planning activities including annual budgeting, reforecasting, and long-range planning. Develop and maintain financial models and deliver scenario and sensitivity analysis. Support the implementation and ownership of a new FP&A EPM tool, with a focus on automation and dashboard creation (Power BI experience desirable). Provide support for treasury-related activities including investor updates, covenant reporting, and financing analysis. Partner across departments on investment appraisals and project analysis. Deliver actionable insights to senior finance stakeholders and executive leadership. Person Profile Professionally qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent relevant experience. Strong FP&A experience in a commercial and fast-paced environment. Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills. Comfortable presenting financial information to senior stakeholders. Strong system and data capability; ERP and EPM tool experience preferred. Proactive communicator with strong organisation and planning abilities. Driven by continuous improvement and business partnership.
