We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Scientist 1 to join our mycoplasma team in Glasgow. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine and custom GMP studies, maintaining good housekeeping, equipment, and stock control to ensure smooth laboratory operations. The microbiology team conducts a variety of assays for mycoplasma detection to support pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, documenting scientific observations to meet industry standards.
Responsibilities include following SOPs and compliance regulations to ensure timely and accurate completion of studies, adhering to GMP standards.
Who You Are: You have a HND or higher qualification in microbiology or related biological sciences. Ideally, you have experience working in GMP environments. Experience with microscopy, aseptic techniques, and cell culture is preferred. You are capable of handling high-volume, fast-paced work and are solutions-oriented. You are highly self-motivated, proactive, and driven to complete tasks. You prioritise quality and safety. You demonstrate strong planning, organisational, and communication skills. You possess good written and spoken English and are computer literate, with knowledge of LIMS preferred.
