Contract: 3 Months Initially

Shifts: 24Γ—7 Rota

Are you a skilled Mitel Support Engineer with a background in supporting enterprise telephony environments? We are currently hiring for a contract opportunity with a leading UK-based IT & telecoms service provider, delivering critical support for a public sector client.

This is a remote, SC-cleared role supporting an existing Mitel telephony estate as part of a 24Γ—7 support operation. You’ll work within a dedicated team, delivering 2nd & 3rd Line troubleshooting (DOE) and maintenance, and helping ensure uninterrupted service for a secure government organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote support for Mitel telephony systems, including MiVB, MiCollab, MBG, and MiCC.
  • Investigate and resolve technical incidents, escalating to senior engineers or vendors as required.
  • Monitor systems and proactively identify potential issues before they impact service.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a shift-based team to meet 24Γ—7 SLA requirements.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to ongoing service improvement.

Requirements:

  • Active Security Clearance (SC) – essential.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Mitel systems (MiVB, MiCollab, MBG, MiCC).
  • Confident in supporting SIP and IP-based telephony infrastructure.
  • Previous experience working in a NOC or similar shift-based environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and incident management skills.
  • Comfortable working remotely and as part of a wider virtual support team.
  • Mitel certifications or training transcripts (highly desirable).

Bonus Skills (Not Essential):

  • Familiarity with hosted VoIP platforms (e.g. Gamma, 8Γ—8, MS Teams).
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN fundamentals (CCNA/CTP level desirable).
  • Experience supporting secure or government environments.
