Join our team as a Substance Addiction Counselor at VITALCARE MEDICAL PRACTICE. We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide treatment and support to individuals with substance use issues, working within a multidisciplinary team in correctional health settings.
Position Details:
- This is a full-time, day shift role at MCI-Norfolk in Norfolk, MA, and MCI-Framingham in Framingham, MA, with travel required between these locations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis stabilization, conduct intakes, and ongoing evaluations.
- Assess clients' functioning, strengths, and treatment needs.
- Develop and implement treatment and discharge plans.
- Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based methods.
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation.
- Educate clients on the effects of substances and support recovery efforts.
- Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, legal, and community providers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- At least 2 years of experience in a clinical or social work role.
- Substance use certification (CAC, CAADC, CADC, LADC).
- Satisfactory background check.
