Job Purpose
The role of the HGV Technician is to diagnose, repair, and service the range of manufacturer products in accordance with manufacturer's work specifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Use diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to diagnose and rectify vehicle faults. Meet with customers to identify and understand problems as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards and specifications.
- Observe safe working practices for yourself and others during all tasks.
- Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors for complex issues.
- Check the quality of work through diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles post-repair. Coordinate with Service Advisor.
- Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) following brand standards, warranty, and site requirements.
- Maintain workshop housekeeping standards, including proper use of tools.
