TL; DR Diligent uses Large Language Models to help financial institutions and fintechs automate and enhance customer due diligence for fraud and anti-money-laundering.
We are growing and looking to hire a Founding Backend Engineer to help us meet increasing product demand and improve our risk detection capabilities.
The problem we\βre solving Globally, over $2 trillion worth of money is laundered every year, with an increasing number of fraudulent activities detected daily.
Business entities are increasingly used as fronts for fraudulent activities, such as counterfeit sales, unauthorized high-risk activities, and other financial crimes.
Financial institutions (banks, payment companies, etc.) are responsible for detecting and stopping these entities, but often rely on basic heuristics or large teams performing repetitive investigations, which are inefficient and ineffective.
This results in frustrated teams, high operational costs, and only a small fraction of illicit activities being caught.
How we\βre solving this problem Diligent builds LLM agents that financial services companies use to automate risk investigations during onboarding and monitoring. These tools analyze scattered data points, such as online presence, news articles, and reputation signals, transforming them into structured, actionable insights to enable faster, better decisions.
The Role You are NOT just an employee; you are part of the founding team.
You will play a crucial role in shaping the company\βs future, from hands-on engineering and product work to strategic decisions.
Responsibilities include: Strategic Involvement: Collaborate with the founding team on company strategy and direction.
Product Ownership: Own the end-to-end development of key product modules, from ideation to deployment.
Engineering Leadership: Lead engineering efforts, develop and deploy LLM-based solutions, and ensure scalability and reliability.
Customer Engagement: Work with customers to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
About You Extremely Curious: Insatiably eager to learn about customer problems, domain knowledge, and technical innovations.
Hungry and Driven: Ready to work in a fast-paced startup environment, take risks, and solve novel problems.
A True Owner: Possess a strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and responsibility for projects, capable of handling ambiguity.
Humble: Actively listen, accept feedback, collaborate openly, and value continuous learning.
