About the role About the Role The PR Manager sits within the Brand and Product Marketing team, which is one of the four pillars of marketing ( Brand , Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Marketing Operations). It is part of the Zellis BU marketing team and will be based between our Peterborough and Watford offices on a hybrid basis. This is a crucial role in shaping the company\’s public image daily and at key events, driving awareness and business within target markets. The role involves developing and executing strategic PR and communication campaigns, managing media relationships, supporting events, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. Additionally, it requires monitoring industry trends, conducting competitive analysis, and building relationships with industry analysts to enhance the company\’s market position. The role will translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives, foster strong media and analyst relationships, and support the broader marketing team with data-driven insights to elevate the company\’s brand and reputation. The role will also manage the PR agency, handle crisis communication, and maintain analyst relationships. Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities Key responsibilities include: PR Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement PR strategies to boost brand visibility, manage media relations, and secure coverage for the company, its products, and leadership. Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, publications, and influencers to secure positive press coverage and handle media inquiries. Analyst Relations: Cultivate relationships with industry analysts, ensure the company\’s representation in reports and rankings, and coordinate briefings. Content & Messaging: Create clear, compelling narratives and press materials aligned with the company\’s value proposition. Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, providing strategic insights. Support Events: Support the team at key industry events, especially during product launches or campaigns, to maximize PR opportunities. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product marketing, and executive teams to align PR strategies with company goals. Crisis Communication: Lead crisis communication efforts to protect the company\’s reputation. Reporting & Analytics: Measure and report on PR and analyst program effectiveness to assess impact on brand perception. These responsibilities are aimed at enhancing the company\’s visibility and reputation through PR efforts. Skills & experience Essential Skills and Behaviours: Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with experience managing PR agencies resulting in coverage in key publications. Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists, analysts, and stakeholders, with examples of positive impacts on PR strategy. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute PR strategies aligned with business objectives and industry trends. Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple PR and event projects, meeting deadlines, and coordinating teams. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze media coverage, market trends, and competition, demonstrating how PR efforts influence coverage trends. Adaptability: Ability to pivot quickly in response to market changes and PR challenges. Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying issues and finding effective solutions, especially during crises.
