We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Platform Developer for a contract role based in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end development, configuration, and optimization of ServiceNow applications and integrations, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with platform best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Platform Development & Configuration
- Develop and configure Custom Applications, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts.
- Implement and maintain Workflows, Flow Designer flows, and Integration Hub spokes.
- Support integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, Kafka, etc.
- Translate architecture/designs into scalable, performant code aligned with ServiceNow standards.
- Performance Optimization
- Profile and debug scripts, workflows, and queries to identify bottlenecks.
- Optimize GlideRecord, ACL performance, background jobs, and indexing.
- Collaborate with architects on performance improvement strategies.
- Code Quality & Technical Debt
- Identify and resolve technical debt in custom modules.
- Participate in code reviews; refactor and write clean, modular code following best practices.
- Testing & Validation
- Conduct unit and regression testing; assist with performance testing.
- Use Instance Scan, Script Tracer, Debug Logs, etc. to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Agile Collaboration & Demo Readiness
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Collaborate with BAs, Product Owners, and Developers to ensure business alignment.
- Prepare instances for demos/UATs: data setup, role mapping, and environment cleanup.
- Lead technical demos and ensure environments are stable and performance-tested.
- Release Support
- Define/manage release readiness criteria from a technical standpoint.
- Support bi-weekly feature releases, ensuring smooth and reliable delivery.
