What are we looking for?
We are seeking someone who understands charity finance, ideally with experience in finance-related work. They should understand and be interested in charity governance, work well in a team, and feel confident discussing finances with trustees and our director. Experience in writing and updating financial reports is essential. A passion for our mission and shared values, along with a commitment to listening to and understanding the IMI community, are also required.
What will you be doing?
We are looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees! The ideal candidate believes in our values and mission and understands the issues faced in the charity sector. They should have experience reading charity accounts and bookkeeping, and be able to help trustees understand IMI's finances to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help produce financial reports and audits.
- Inform trustees about financial duties and explain financial data.
- Meet regularly with IMI's director to verify financial records.
- Sign grant applications and paperwork for audits, grants, and donations.
- Monitor the director's actions related to the charity's finances.
