SQL Server DBA / Database Administrator – New Role (REFBJ7) A leading organisation in Bath requires a SQL Server Database Administrator / DBA to join its growing team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for all production database operations and services as well as manage all database servers in UAT and production environments. Suitable candidates will have the following skills: Strong experience of supporting business critical production environments as a MS SQL Server DBA. Knowledge and experience of MS SQL Server 2019 and above. Thorough understanding of core SQL database backup and recovery mechanisms, including log shipping. An understanding of SQL PaaS services – Azure SQL DB and AWS. Performance tuning. SQL Server maintenance requirements. SQL Server Reporting services implementation and maintenance. Knowledge of TSQL scripting and PowerShell. Visual Studio and working with Database Projects. Additionally, you will have strong problem-solving skills and will be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while remaining self-motivated and enthusiastic.
