Aqua Sana Forest Spa is an award-winning spa offering a combination of experiences, products and treatments. Each spa is uniquely designed, with up to 25 spa experience rooms to explore. There is also an extensive range of face and body treatments available to book, carried out by expert therapists using products from the finest product houses including Elemis, Comfort Zone and VOYA.
Aqua Sana Forest Spa is extremely popular and is accessible to both guests staying on the Village as a Center Parcs guest, and external guests who visit Aqua Sana Forest Spa during Spa Days and Spa Breaks.
As an Aqua Sana Spa Assistant, you will provide a safe, clean and luxurious environment for our guests. You will be responsible for engaging with our guests and exceeding their expectations by providing excellent service. Lifeguard duties and maintaining the relaxing ambience of the spa will be a priority. Sustaining excellent standards of the spa through general maintenance and stringent cleaning procedures is a daily requirement of this role.
Trainee candidates will be required to attend an NPLQ course, and an offer of employment will be subject to passing the course and a successful interview. Please note that the course will be full-time hours for 5 days and include classroom sessions on the responsibilities of being a Lifeguard, how to observe our pool guests, how to rescue those in need and how to administer first aid and CPR. As part of the interview process, candidates are required to complete a swim test.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
Please note that to apply for a role with us, you must be able to reliably commute to Center Parcs Longleat Forest (BA12 7PU), as it is not easily accessible by public transport.
HOURS OF WORK: You will be contracted to work either 64 or 144 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
About You: The successful candidate will be engaging and naturally helpful with excellent communication skills. You will work well on your own initiative as well as within a close team environment.
- Essential Requirements:
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- RLSS Pool Lifeguard / NARS Qualification – for qualified lifeguards
- Ability to build relationships at all levels
- Friendly, genuine and warm towards guests and colleagues
- Ability to utilise excellent time management skills and use own initiative and teamwork
- Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in a Spa environment
- Pool plant operations experience
- A First Aid qualification
- Previous experience as a lifeguard
