Cavendish Nuclear are seeking experienced TIG-MMA Welders to join our team on the prestigious Hinkley Point C project. This is your chance to contribute to the construction of the UK's first-ever 3rd generation nuclear power plant, shaping a sustainable future.

The Role:
- Play a pivotal role in building the UK's clean energy future.
- Work within the MEH Alliance, collaborating effectively to deliver complex piping and cabling systems.
- Perform welding operations to a radiographic standard.
- Conduct equipment inspections.
- Adhere to established welding protocols and safety regulations, including fume control.
- Identify and report potential welding problems for corrective action.
- Ability to identify your own welds for quality control.
- Comply with established quality control procedures and documentation standards.
Required Skills:
- TIG Welders required for high integrity pipe welding.
- Structural MMA Welders required for pipe supports and brackets at Hinkley Point C.
- Suitable candidates will be required to test to the following ISO 9606 standards:
- SWQ-02 Butt Weld β 2β carbon steel pipe weld β 6G position β All TIG
- SWQ-02 Fillet Weld β 2β carbon steel pipe to plate β horizontal position β TIG
- SWQ-04 Butt weld - 2β Stainless steel pipe weld using full Tig (root, fill & cap) in 6G position - All TIG
- SWQ-04 Fillet weld β 2β pipe to plate using TIG in horizontal position - All TIG
- Or SWQ-70 Box to Plate β structural steel β horizontal position β MMA.
- Level 2 / Apprenticeship / City & Guilds in Welding
