Here at ISS, as one of the UK\’s leading Facilities Management (FM) providers are looking to develop their Sustainability team dedicated against a key client working with the defence and aerospace sector
We provide Facilities services across the customer\’s estate including Engineering Maintenance, Cleaning and Catering, with Sustainability also highly important helping keep the customer\’s buildings and operations compliant with legislation and environmentally friendly
Here, you will be home based, traveling to customer facilities when required, completing audits, reports and delivering training to client staff
We are more than happy to consider recent Sustainability/Environmental Grads with some working experience looking to advance your career working for a major employer helping out a prestigious client
Actions will include:
- Manage the delivery of the customers annual SECR returns, reporting expanded voluntary categories in line with GHG Protocol methodology and aligning to SBTi and PPN06/21 requirements.
- Support the customer with ongoing carbon accounting support, including reporting progress against Net-Zero targets in line with ISO14064.
- Lead the delivery of Climate Change Risk Assessments, including modelling using UKCP18, flood risk assessments and workshopping with customer senior leaders to identify key risks.
- Manage the customers ‘Climate Change Agreements’ including managing external stakeholder relationships, monthly reporting and forecasting progress against targets, staying informed of upcoming legislation/scheme changes, financial impacts of the scheme, reporting tax relief to HMRC & the ONS via the customer, conducting annual eligibility assessments and maintaining the evidence pack ensuring compliance with the schemes’ standards.
- Conduct quarterly legislation updates informing the customer of any upcoming changes relevant to the services
- Support delivery of ‘Sustainability Improvement Plans’ alongside the account team, delivering excellence in sustainable initiatives in a facilities management setting
- Collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels of the customers business to deliver high quality sustainability advisory
- Support the delivery of ESOS & ISO50001, with key focus on legislation reviews, internal audit and reviewing key documents ensuring the delivery of ‘continuous improvement’ for the customer
- Help drive innovative ways of working and tools for the wider Energy Decarbonisation Team
We need from you:
- BSc + 1 years professional or educational (MSc) experience, in a related discipline e.g. Climate, Carbon, Sustainability, Environmental Management etc.
- Experience of working across a matrix organisation with complex RACI and stakeholder groups to manage
- Experience in at least one of the following: ISO standards, Carbon Accounting, Climate modelling or Climate Change Agreements
