HGV Driver

Are you an experienced HGV 1 Driver with a passion for delivering exceptional service?

We are currently recruiting for a leading Brickwork and Construction company based in Reading, where you will be transporting goods on routes in and out of London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery Driving (London Focus):

• The primary task involves making 1 to 2 deliveries within London daily. This highlights the need for someone comfortable navigating London traffic and potentially dealing with tight delivery schedules.

• Conducting routine vehicle checks is a crucial responsibility, ensuring the vehicle\’s roadworthiness and safety. This indicates a need for someone who is detail-oriented and understands basic vehicle maintenance.

• The role includes manual handling, suggesting that the deliveries may involve lifting and moving heavy or bulky items. This means physical fitness and the ability to safely handle materials are important.

Requirements:

HGV Class 2 license.

Clean driving record (no major convictions, no more than 6 penalty points).

Prepared to undergo DVLA license and DBS checks.

Digi Tacho card.

Driver CPC card.

Strong customer service skills.

Minimum of 1 year experience.

Work Week: Monday to Friday.

Start Time: 6:00 AM.

Standard Shift Length: 9 hours.

Potential for Longer Shifts: Shifts may exceed 9 hours, indicating flexibility is needed.

Overtime and Weekend Availability: Overtime and weekend work are available, offering increased earning potential.
