HGV Driver Class 1 - Chesterfield

About the role

We’re recruiting for Class 1 trunking work—simple, no‑touch runs between depots and RDCs, with minimal interaction and regular shift patterns. Ideal for drivers who prefer straightforward routes and reliable hours.

Pay Rates

• Days: £19.52 per hour
• Nights: £20.72 per hour
• Weekends: up to £25.06 per hour
• All rates are PAYE, and holiday pay is accrued separately.

Shift Schedule

Shift starts: 01:00–05:00 and 14:00–19:00.

Shift lengths: usually 10–11 hours.

Training

Once you’ve passed your driving assessment, you’ll get full training to hit the ground running safely and confidently.

Requirements

1. Valid Class 1 HGV C+E licence
2. Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
3. Minimum 12 months of recent HGV driving experience required
4. No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
