Due to the growth of the business, GP Surveyors are seeking an experienced MRICS Chartered Surveyor / Senior Surveyor to join our vibrant team. We’re after a self-starter who is used to taking ownership of their own caseload, but still likes to work collaboratively with a wider team.
Must haves:
- Chartered RICS status
- Valuations experience in a professional role
- Property inspection and measuring experience
- Valid and clean driving licence
- Lives within a 90-minute drive of Sheffield (Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham)

The Role:
The role is ideal for an experienced MRICS Chartered Surveyor / Senior Surveyor, who is used to taking control of key projects and operating independently. We’re after a self-starter who is used to taking ownership of their own caseload. A confident communicator, who will be equally as comfortable speaking with clients as you are negotiating valuations with third parties.
Day-to-day tasks and responsibilities will involve visiting GP surgeries to carry out property inspections, including measuring buildings and drawing floorplans. In this position, you will be responsible for carrying out rent reviews and market valuations, as well as advising clients on leases and negotiating on their behalf. There is an element of travel involved and the occasional overnight stay as we carry out property inspections across the UK. Generous car mileage is provided, we just ask that you hold a clean driving licence. You’ll report directly to one of the Directors and work closely with the surveying team and other internal functions including sales and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Property inspection including measuring buildings and drawing floor plans
- Ensuring compliance of the RICS regulations
- Delivering completion of client instructions within deadline and budget
- Undertaking rent reviews (Incl. negotiations), valuations and lease consultations
- Liaising with clients and third parties e.g. other surveyors, valuers, solicitors
- Managing a case load efficiently to meet billing targets
- Help to develop processes and systems to improve efficiency
