The School of Human and Health Sciences have an exciting opportunity to join the Health and Wellbeing Academy as Service Development and Improvement Facilitator. The Health and Wellbeing Academy was launched in 2022 and provides a range of award-winning innovative student supported clinical and wellbeing services for the public to access.

The University of Huddersfield is an award winning, successful and modern University. You will be based in the state of the art Daphne Steele Building. Our excellent facilities are continuing to expand with state-of-the-art teaching, research and clinical facilities on the National Health Innovation Campus. We have a diverse student body and work closely with our public partnership group, health and social care, and education partners. In 2023, the University achieved TEF Gold award, and its apprenticeship provision was graded as “Outstanding” by Ofsted. Inspirational and innovative learning is at the core of our vision.

Working with the Strategic Lead for Clinical and Wellbeing Services, this unique role will allow you to take responsibility for day-to-day management of all Clinical and Wellbeing Academy operations along with managing a small administration team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the student supported clinical services. You will play a pivotal role in providing project support contributing to the development and coordination of new and existing services provided to the public. Commitment to providing a high level of service is essential.

You will have significant administrative and project/programme management experience, demonstrating excellent organisational skills. Previous experience in a clinical or health related setting would be beneficial.

Key essential criteria include:

  • Educated to degree level, or with equivalent experience, you will have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Management Qualification e.g CMI level 5 or evidence of management experience.
  • Certifications from professional bodies such as PMP / Prince 2 / APM would be considered valuable to this role or the ability to demonstrate extensive project experience.
  • Be able to demonstrate that you have highly developed IT skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Forms, power apps).
