We are currently recruiting for Assemblers to help deliver on the growth-focused strategy for our client based in Stevenage.

Role Description

An Assembler will work within any area of Operations, supporting the project and flow sides of the business as required in line with business requirements.

Essential Duties

  • Ensure their own and the safety of their fellow team members is a priority.
  • Work to any defined health and safety requirements within the area and support safety-led initiatives.
  • Assembly and soldering of printed circuit boards.
  • Assembly of mechanical metalwork.
  • Assembly of product components.
  • Calibration of products where required.
  • Preparation and termination of wiring.
  • Work to defined standard work requirements.
  • Carry out stock checks as required.
  • Pack equipment using the best methods available.
  • Adhere to all quality standards.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Perform functionality testing where required.
  • Any other duties in line with business needs.

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent Health and Safety practices.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Computer literate to the appropriate level.
  • Testing experience is advantageous.

Desirable Criteria

  • Formal qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or related discipline.
  • Soldering experience is a must.
