MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established retail business based in County Antrim to recruit an experienced IT Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a dynamic IT environment, lead a small team, and play a key role in the company's continued digital evolution.

The Role: As IT Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic development of the organisation's IT infrastructure. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to align technology with business objectives and drive operational efficiency through innovative IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and implement fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Manage and maintain SQL databases, ensuring security, availability, and data integrity.
  • Lead the deployment and support of VOIP systems, including troubleshooting and identifying upgrade paths.
  • Line-manage a small in-house IT support team, providing mentorship and direction.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and service providers, handling contracts, renewals, and service-level agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing and IT best practices.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in an IT Manager or similar senior IT role (experience in retail or wholesale environments would be advantageous).
  • Broad technical expertise across hardware, software, and retail technologies.
  • Solid experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365/Azure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
