About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Golf & Sport Attendant to join the team and perform golf & sport operations duties, assisting players to check in, prepare for tee off to play the course and working in the golf retail shop. Reporting to the Assistant Golf Operations Manager, you will deliver exceptional customer service to our members, guests and the general public. Our team are highly service orientated, engaged and professional. Royal Pines operates 7 days a week and our team work a weekly rotating roster.
Your key responsibilities for the role include:
- Managing members, guests and general public bookings & enquiries
- Welcome players & guests with a smile & provide assistance in preparation for tee off
- Coordinate, issue, clean, drive & maintain golf carts
- Coordinate, issue & maintain sport hire equipment
- Assist with course marshalling, driving range operations and organising golf events
- Assist in the golf shop to open and close, retail purchases & merchandising of stock
- Demonstrating a sound knowledge of golfing rules and operations
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Experience in golf course operations or golf & sport retail environment
- Knowledge of golf course operations, rules & etiquette, essential
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate, essential
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office & MiClub, an advantage
- Excellent communication, customer service & interpersonal skills to build a rapport with members & guests
- Effective time management, positive attitude, attention to detail and work well in a team environment
- Excellent grooming & personal presentation
- Full availability and flexibility to work a weekly rotating roster, including weekends & public holidays
