Are you ready to be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of our vertical tower, tooling, and test equipment within the workshop area, repairing hardware faults and ensuring all safety checks are carried out to comply with health and safety requirements? This is a great opportunity for an experienced and talented technician to join a company in its formative stage and make a real difference to the direction of the team and technology. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Test team leader. The position will be based at our Inverkeithing Engineering Innovation Centre. Some travel to our Crop Research Centre in Invergowrie is expected for test and integration of systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working alongside a small team of test engineers
- Carry out planned and preventive maintenance on our vertical tower and the full range of test equipment and tooling on site
- React quickly to any breakdowns/ failures and communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance and fault-finding
- Working within a multi-disciplinary workshop
- To assist site with general Housekeeping, carrying out small/minor repairs, ensuring all tools are stored safely and compliantly
Skills and Experience:
- Apprentice trained or HNC/D qualified in an engineering discipline
- Working knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Experience of Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance/Fault-finding
- PC literate
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of the team
Desirable skills:
- Familiarity with 3 Phase and AC/DC power, HVAC, Hydraulics, and the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of PLCs
- PAT Testing
