Great Category Buyer opportunity to join one of the leading branded food groups in its sector. I’m currently working with a food business who are leaders in their sector. They supply into all the leading retailers and have done for decades. They have recently embarked on an exciting period of growth, so this is a great time to join this talented procurement function.
They are looking for an experienced Category Buyer with procurement experience in commodity-based ingredients. Working closely with the Category Procurement Manager you’ll manage your own category of ingredients, identify risk and opportunities, recommend CRM plans, source new suppliers whilst working closely with internal stakeholders.
You will need previous buying experience gained in the sourcing and commodities market from a food manufacturing environment. You’ll have strong supplier management experience and strong negotiation skills and have a high level of competency in Excel and Power Point.
