Audience & Engagement Editor β London & East of England (maternity cover) Full-time Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract Location: Remote β UK Division: Editorial Salary Currency: GBP Sterling Department: Regionals We have an exciting opportunity to join Reach as an Audience and Engagement Editor across the London and East of England region . You will be working across all our brilliant and growing titles in the region. The role will focus on building relationships with readers and on content post publication on our digital brands, leading on the Customer Value Strategy. Weβre looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content and help it reach the widest possible audience. This role is for a maternity cover and will initially be on a 1-year fixed term contract. We are happy to consider applications on a flexible working basis, and will always aim to accommodate requests where possible. This role is home based and we are therefore open to candidates based across the UK but knowledge of the region is preferred. What will the role involve? Curate newsletters and drive interest in newsletters across the group Ensuring our stories reach the widest possible audience and helping to grow new audiences Spotting great potential stories on social media Shape and implement our social media strategy, making sure our channels are always vibrant, relevant and helpful to readers Implement projects to grow registered users on our news websites across London and the East of England Find new ways to promote content off platform and find new readers Responsible for working with our engagement producers Work with news editors to commission content that will be well read by our loyal, local audience Who are we looking for? NCTJ or equivalent journalism degree and knowledge of media law Content writing and editing experience Digital publishing skills Passion for digital storytelling in local and national journalism Deep knowledge of media law What can we offer you?
