We are seeking a Warehouse Manager (Customer Delivery) in Cullompton. You will be working for a successful organisation, who are people focused and part of a brand that is a household name in the UK.
The Customer Delivery Manager takes full leadership, operational and financial responsibility for your site/warehouse. In the range of £30m of deliveries and a team of 30-40 staff, you will lead to ensure the business offers the best service to customers whilst remaining compliant with Health & Safety and transport regulations.
Requirements of the Warehouse Manager (Customer Delivery):- Customer Focus
- Managing the customer-facing side of your site with accountability for all customer deliveries
- To ensure consistently high standards of customer service and operational excellence
- Work collaboratively with brand partners
- Team & Financial Responsibility
- Ownership and accountability for costs, in line with agreed budgets
- To lead, coach, develop and motivate and to identify top talent
- Accountable for auditable compliance on vehicle and trailer maintenance, truck downloads, driver time directives etc.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety
- Proactive in managing any disciplinaries, sickness and people issues with appropriate support from the HR team
- Operations
- Ensure efficient inbound supplier deliveries and outbound delivery customer orders
- Ownership and accountability for interfacing with retail teams to address cross-functional operational issues
- Identify cross-functional performance, spotting improvement opportunities that will impact on customer service or operational efficiencies
- Accountable for optimal utilisation of transport fleet for store to customer
- Accountable for the control of costs i.e. overtime spend
- Managerial experience of mid-large teams
- Experience of transformation/change management
- Knowledge of Transport Law governing Driving Hours
