Lloyd's Insurance Broker is searching for a Reinsurance Claims Technician to join the business on a flexible hybrid basis. The role requires dealing with clients face to face within the London and Provincial areas, utilising your experience in Reinsurance Claims across a variety of areas.

This is a varied and interesting position that requires excellent communication skills. As a Reinsurance Claims Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and completing the production of new claim files to a defined standard, reviewing claims received, and providing feedback to third parties where required.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Producing claims information and presenting to reinsurers, either in written format such as CLASS or LORS.
  • Dealing with instructions, queries, and enquiries.
  • Identifying risk upon receipt of claim notification, reviewing details in conjunction with coverage/wording afforded, acknowledging to client/intermediary, preparing claims file accurately and promptly, and maintaining in-house and external computerised claims records.
  • Monitoring reinsurers' agreement and payment of funds, ensuring timely payment to the appropriate beneficiary.
  • Providing regular feedback to the Claims Manager on the portfolio of claims, status, market conditions, and their possible implications.
  • Attending internal/client meetings as appropriate.
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA Guidelines and Group rules and procedures, including maintaining accurate records.
