Job Description The Deputy Chief Flight Instructor (Gloucester) is responsible to the Chief Flight Instructor, on a daily basis, for the single pilot flight and synthetic flight training conducted at the Gloucester Approved Training Location. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assisting the Chief Flight Instructor with their responsibilities as and when requested by them Attending the internal training meetings Ensuring that their flying qualifications are current Acting as an instructor and/or examiner, when required dependant upon availability Conducting administration and other duties that directly support the role of the CFI Qualifications Hold a current UK CAA and if required EASA CPL or ATPL. Hold a current UK CAA and if required EASA Class 1 medical. Hold a current UK CAA unrestricted Flight Instructor Certificate with CPL, Multi engine and instrument instructional privileges. EASA equivalent either native or FCL.900(c) would be beneficial and may need to be obtained. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to motivate and encourage staff, to deal effectively with internal and external contacts ranging from executive to administrative levels. Demonstrable record of leadership in a management role. Extensive experience in training as an instructor for professional pilots license. No aircraft accident or aviation violation convictions. Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment. Additional Information Salary £68,000-£72,000 depending on experience. Full Time – 40 hours, Monday-Friday.
