Are you a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector looking to join a leading team in the automotive industry? Auto-scan UK Limited, a premier provider of third-party quality assurance and inspection services, is seeking multiple dedicated Quality Inspectors to work with a well-known automotive manufacturer in the Sunderland/Washington area with multiple locations.

The Role

As a Quality Inspector, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of automotive components and assemblies. You'll work at multiple manufacturing sites across the North East, conducting thorough inspections and collaborating with production and quality assurance teams. You will be inspecting dashboard/cockpit assemblies as well as exhausts and other welded automotive assembled parts. This position is ideal for candidates with prior quality inspection experience in manufacturing who are eager to learn new skills and handle varied duties.

Shifts & Compensation

You’ll work across Day, Late, and potentially Night shifts, with weekend overtime opportunities available. We offer competitive rates of pay for this role.

Requirements

  • Conduct detailed inspections of part components and assemblies, identifying any defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Accurately document and promptly report all findings.
  • Collaborate effectively with production and quality assurance teams to resolve any identified issues.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in quality inspection or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Superb communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Relevant certifications or technical training in Quality Inspection (ideally within the automotive, engineering, or manufacturing industries) are preferred.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced production and assembly environment would be a significant advantage.
