The Department The Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Relations (CCSR) team tells the story of how LJMU transforms lives and futures and places our students at the heart of everything we do. This professional team is responsible for developing and delivering effective multi-platform communications and events for our students, staff and diverse range of external stakeholders. The Team The Brand and Design Team sits within CCSR and is responsible for promoting LJMU’s values, mission and overall brand identity. The team delivers to diverse audiences ranging from prospective students through staff, current students and academics, to corporate partners and leads the creative direction of the LJMU story through print and digital media. The team ensures that the university has a distinct market presence with a succinct and clear message. We are looking to appoint a Brand Design Assistant to support this team. Essential experience/skills required: You will be Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience. Have experience using graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) with a Portfolio showcasing your creative design skills. You will have experience of co-ordinating and producing a wide variety of promotional materials and able to demonstrate print buying experience. Experience and understanding of working within corporate brand guidelines is also needed. You will additionally have experience of liaising with a wide range of audiences including external suppliers. Capable of working with people at all levels in a diplomatic and professional manner with the ability to multi-task and able to work well under pressure. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently is essential alongside efficient planning and organisational skills. A high level of literacy and excellent attention to detail with excellent IT and editorial skills including proof-reading is required in addition to excellent communication skills.
