Job Description The Opportunity A unique opportunity has arisen to lead The Bath Priory \’s kitchen as Executive Head Chef. The renowned 5 Red Star Hotel and Spa has maintained its position as one of the best in Bath, with kitchens and restaurants that have showcased excellence nationally and internationally for decades. This role offers a rare chance to be the custodian of The Bath Priory\’s next culinary chapter. We seek an outstanding leader, an inspirational figure, and a culinary expert who has achieved 4 to 5 AA Rosettes, with Michelin star-quality food, capable of coaching and developing others to reach the same standards. The hotel & Spa features a quality-led restaurant, a unique L’Occitane Spa (the only one in the UK), and is a member of Relais & Châteaux . It offers development opportunities and exceptional experiences. Key points about the role : Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the Executive Chef will set the culinary agenda, ensuring guests enjoy an exceptional food experience, whether fireside or in our dining rooms. We aim to expand and improve our culinary offerings from breakfast to afternoon tea and celebratory meals, focusing on flavor and enjoyment. The focus is on quality food and memorable experiences for guests, cooking for up to 50 covers in dining rooms and 75 in casual settings (outdoor terrace and indoor casual restaurant). Located in the beautiful city of Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage site known as the Great Spa town of Europe, surrounded by local produce, regional suppliers, and our own kitchen garden. About our location : Bath, in Somerset, England, is famed for its Roman-built baths, situated in the River Avon valley, 97 miles west of London and 11 miles southeast of Bristol. The hotel is housed in a grand Georgian manor from 1835 on 4 acres of gardens, 2 miles from the Roman Baths and 3 miles from the city centre. Bath has excellent transport links, including Bath Spa train station, Bristol Airport about an hour away, and proximity to the M4 motorway. The individual we seek : An experienced chef with 4 to 5 AA Rosettes and Michelin star standards. Passionate, dedicated, enthusiastic, capable of coaching and mentoring the team. A love for cooking, being hands-on during key times, and continuously developing culinary skills. A team player and leader, willing to collaborate with senior management to enhance The Bath Priory\’s guest experience.
