King Street is based in the centre of Thorne and is within walking distance of local facilities including a supermarket, shops, cafes, restaurants, parks and leisure facilities. The larger town centres of Doncaster and Goole can be easily accessed by bus.
Being a Support Worker isn’t just about supporting someone in day to day life, it’s about having fun! The people we support are very involved in the things they like to do, so they would love their Support Workers to play an active part in the things they enjoy as well. The people we support at King Street enjoy swimming, going to the gym, performing in drama, and attending theatre shows and live music events.

A Support Worker is not a 9-5 job, and we understand your own time is precious; therefore, we have a fixed rota so you know exactly what shifts you would be working well in advance.
Hours of work: Full-time average of 36 hours per week (part-time hours may also be available)
- Weekdays: Earlies 07:30 – 14:45, Lates 13:15 – 21:45
- Weekends: Earlies 07:30 – 13:45, Lates 13:15 – 21:45

About You
We are looking for Support Workers who have a ‘can do’ attitude, are outgoing and caring but have a calm demeanor when needed. You don't need to have experience, but it is essential that you share our values. As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us. Our excellent training team will support you to become a qualified Support Worker, which could see you on your journey to a career in care.
