ACL Shipbrokers is an independent ship brokerage specialising in both sale and purchase,
and chartering worldwide. We have a strong client base in the tug and workboat sectors,
amongst other vessel types, and have a hands-on and innovative approach to shipbroking.

The Role
The trainee broker will work closely with both S&P and chartering desks exposing them to
all aspects of brokerage. The aim will be for the trainee broker to be given responsibility
and client facing opportunities from the outset.
Whilst reactive, the development of the trainee will be carefully structured and adapted to
suit the character of the individual.
Responsibilities as follows: (this list is not exhaustive)
– Communicate clearly with clients and subcontractors by phone and email
– Build their own specialist vessel niche as a live project to hone their broking skills
– Representing the company at industry conferences and events
– Vessel inspections worldwide
– Conduct research on specialist markets and industry trends
– Assist with marketing and social media campaigns
– Prepare contracts and paperwork for vessel sales and charters
– Assist in managing vessel and client databases
– Vessel valuations
– Contract negotiation
– Lead broker support
Requirements:
We are looking for a highly motivated and confident graduate/ experienced professional
who is seeking a unique opportunity to start their career in shipbroking with a reputable

team player. The right candidate will be adaptable, trustworthy, hardworking and able to
