Job Description This position is located within the European Marketing team. We are seeking an innovative and technically skilled Marketing Cloud Technical Architect to design, build, and deploy scalable marketing solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). In this role, you will develop personalized, data-driven customer experiences that drive business value. As a key contributor to our marketing technology ecosystem, you will define, document, and implement solutions that align with business goals while integrating seamlessly with Salesforce CRM and other platforms. You will also take ownership of campaign deployments, technical configurations, and post-campaign reporting, ensuring measurable results and continuous optimization. Your focus will be on solution architecture, application design, development, campaign deployment, support of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and integrations into other technology platforms. Key Responsibilities: Solution Architecture & Development Design and document scalable, best-practice solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud functionalities, including Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Interaction Studio, Ad Studio, and Audience Builder. Translate business requirements and user stories into robust, actionable solutions that optimize marketing workflows. Build, test, and deploy custom components, such as journey builder activities, templates, and APIs. Develop best practices for marketing automation and ensure alignment with business goals. Provide expert technical support on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL and AMPScript for advanced content development, data analysis & optimisation. Develop and deliver solution specifications and templates for use across campaigns and journeys. Perform integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other platforms. Create and manage segmentation, personalization, and data flows using SQL, AMPScript, and REST/SOAP APIs. Provide technical expertise on omnichannel marketing integrations (social media, SMS, chat) and third-party data platforms. Stay updated on new features and functionalities within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Campaign Deployment & Execution Develop and execute cross-channel campaigns, including email, SMS, mobile notifications, and custom journeys. Implement and manage automations using Automation Studio to streamline marketing operations. Ensure all campaigns are rigorously tested, compliant with security and regulatory standards, and receive necessary approvals from Legal & Compliance teams. Generate post-campaign performance reports, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimize future campaigns. Maintain audit-compliant processes and keep documentation organized in shared platforms. You may be asked to perform tasks as required by management deemed as a reasonable request. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in information technology management or related discipline or equivalent 3-5 years of direct experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator and Developer. Strong expertise in SFMC tools, including Content Builder, Automation Studio, and Journey Builder. Demonstrable proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AMPScript, and SQL. Experience with Salesforce Core and its integration with Marketing Cloud. Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and security protocols such as TLS, SSL, and data encryption. Proven experience in managing omnichannel marketing integrations (social media, SMS, chat). Experience with customer data platforms (e.g., Salesforce CDP, Adobe Experience Platform, Segment). Knowledge of Pardot and its integration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, a plus. Familiarity with mobile app SDKs and API-based integrations. Demonstrable expertise in Salesforce CRM reporting & analytics. Experience with one Customer Data Platform (Salesforce CDP, Adobe Experience, Platform, Segment, etc.), a plus. Key Attributes Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels. A collaborative mindset, with a proactive approach to challenges and opportunities. Ability to work independently in a remote or distributed environment, managing multiple projects with efficiency.
