We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Category Manager with a strong background in Technology Infrastructure and Cloud Management to join a well-known Financial Services Company. Your primary focus will be on procurement activity related to IT Infrastructure and Cloud Services. You will be responsible for delivering cost savings across the supplier base and creating commercial frameworks with suppliers to benefit the wider Company Group. You will maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver top-tier sourcing and supplier management services.
This Technology Category Manager opportunity is paying an annual salary up to £100,000 and will include a Performance Related Discretionary Bonus, 28 days core annual leave, and you can buy up to 5 days. There is an excellent Company Pension Scheme, Private Medical cover for yourself and Family members/dependants can be added.
The successful candidate can expect to be spending their time working with stakeholders to effectively manage Technology spend across the company and other Legal Entities, which will involve helping customers to define requirements, researching the supply market, running market exercises to select suppliers, negotiating commercial terms and putting appropriate contracts in place.
You will be the commercial subject matter expert working closely with IT product owners to form a strategy to exit a number of complex, interrelated licenses and supporting services. Developing and implementing procurement strategies for your category area, focusing on cost optimisation, supplier management, and risk mitigation.
We’re looking for an IT Category Manager that has:
- A track record of delivering IT Procurement projects, with full ownership throughout the process.
- Significant experience working on procurement projects specifically related to Technology Infrastructure and Cloud (Azure) Services.
- The confidence and gravitas to represent Procurement to a senior IT stakeholder group, able to both advise and influence.
- A solid understanding of the financial services market.
- Experience of working in a complex IT environment that is undergoing significant change.
- Have a demonstrable record of delivering value for money and best in class commercial services especially with top tier IT vendors.
- Experience of Contract termination and re-negotiation.
The Company operates a hybrid working environment where two days per week they work from their London Office. With that, we are looking for a Technology Category Manager that can commute twice weekly to London. Unfortunately, VISA Sponsorship is NOT AVAILABLE for these roles and we are looking for Technology Category Managers that are based living within the United Kingdom.
