Genesis Energy, L.P. is a publicly traded, master limited partnership headquartered in Houston, Texas. We provide critical pipeline infrastructure supporting long-lived, world-class developments in the Gulf of America. Our business also includes a diversified suite of Jones Act compliant marine transportation equipment used to transport crude oil and intermediate refined products along the Gulf and East Coast, and major river systems, the production and marketing of other specialty chemicals with no known substitutes, and an increasingly integrated portfolio of onshore crude oil pipelines and terminals along the Gulf Coast.

Key Duties:

  • Drive and operate an 18-wheel tractor/cargo tank to safely transport crude oil from the field to pipeline injection point or refinery.
  • Check and record bottom sediment, water percent, temperature, and gravity of the product.
  • Record volume and lease site load/unload activity into a hand-held computer for printing run tickets.
  • Prepare driver's Daily Report and other paperwork.
  • Inspect truck, tires, tank, and surrounding area for safety concerns; ensure all operating equipment is in proper working order and safety conditions.
  • Report the volume of product hauled for accounting, revenue, and payroll purposes.
  • Actively participate in and promote the company's safety programs.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Possess a valid Class A CDL with Tank and Hazardous Materials endorsements (X).
  • Pass a pre-employment DOT medical exam.
  • Pass DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Have a driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
  • Be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two or more years of verifiable tractor/semi-trailer driving experience preferred.
  • Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) preferred.
  • Adhere to applicable DOT regulations; this position is considered Safety Sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
